During the initial “TRU PROtection®” period, 100% of material and labor costs for roofing system defects are covered.
After the fully covered period, materials continue to be covered on a prorated basis for the lifetime you own your home.
For the highest tiers (e.g., Platinum), coverage includes installation errors for up to 25 years (and in some cases lifetime prorated).
To qualify, the roof must meet specific system requirements — use of a qualified contractor, multiple Owens Corning components (shingles + underlayment + hip & ridge + ventilation), proper flashing, and registration of the system.
These warranties are structured so the remaining coverage can be transferred to a new homeowner under certain conditions — adding resale value to your property.
