Gutters & Drainage Systems

Protect Your Home from the Top Down — With Precision, Integrity, and Lasting Quality

Water is one of the most damaging forces a home can face. Properly designed gutters and drainage systems protect your roof, siding, foundation, and landscaping by directing water exactly where it should go — away from your home.

At Legacy Built Renovations, we treat water management like mission-critical work. As a veteran-owned Connecticut contractor, we bring discipline, clear communication, and meticulous craftsmanship to every install and repair.

Why Gutters Matter

A well-engineered gutter system prevents:

  • Foundation cracks & basement leaks from water pooling near the house

  • Rotting fascia/soffits and premature roof edge deterioration

  • Stained siding & washed-out landscaping

  • Ice dams & icicles made worse by poor drainage and undersized downspouts

Our job is to eliminate these risks with a system that’s built to last and easy to maintain.

What We Install & Repair

  • Seamless Aluminum Gutters (most popular): custom-formed on site for a perfect, leak-resistant fit

  • 5” & 6” K-Style Gutters: 6” recommended for steep roofs, large surface areas, or heavy New England rain/snow loads

  • Half-Round Gutters (upon request): classic profile for historic or high-end homes

  • Oversized Downspouts (3”×4”): move more water, reduce clogs, and help manage snowmelt

  • Hidden Heavy-Duty Hangers with stainless or coated screws for superior pull-out resistance

  • High-Performance Sealants at miters and outlets for long-term watertight joints

  • Drip Edge & Gutter Apron Integration to protect roof edges and direct water into the trough

  • Gutter Guards / Leaf Protection: premium micro-mesh solutions that stop debris while maximizing flow

  • Drainage Extensions & Underground Runs: move water away from the foundation with clean terminations (splash blocks, pop-ups, dry wells)

  • Repairs & Re-Pitching: fix sagging runs, seam leaks, failing miters, or incorrect slope

  • Fascia/Soffit Replacement if rot or damage is discovered during install

Our Process

Inspection & Assessment

We evaluate roof planes, valleys, and water volume; check fascia condition and pitch; and identify choke points (valley discharges, inside corners, long runs). You’ll get an honest explanation of what’s needed and why.

System Design

We size gutters and downspouts correctly, plan discharge locations, specify extensions or underground drainage, and select the right guard system if desired. We also match color from a wide palette of baked-on enamel finishes for a clean, integrated look.

Precision Installation

We form seamless gutters on site, set proper pitch (usually ~1/16”–1/8” per 10 ft), reinforce with hidden hangers, integrate drip edge/gutter apron, and use high-grade sealants at miters and outlets. All fasteners are corrosion-resistant.

Drainage Management

Downspouts are routed to strategic discharge points with extensions or underground piping to move water safely away from the foundation and high-traffic areas.

Cleanup & Final Walkthrough

We remove debris, metal offcuts, and old materials; test flows; and walk you through the system — including maintenance tips and warranty documentation.
